And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
Note 6 at Mk. 2:8: Jesus perceived their thoughts in His spirit--not His mind. He wasn't operating out of His human ability although He was sinless. He was operating in the supernatural spirit realm (Jn. 4:24) through the gift of a word of knowledge (1 Cor. 12:8).
