Note 4 at Mk. 3:29: The lost dead are currently in Hell, which is a place of fire and torment (see note 13 at Mt. 5:22, p. 75). At the second return of Jesus and the great white throne of judgment (Rev. 19:11-20:15) all of the enemies of God, including those who are now in hell, will be judged and banished to the lake of fire. As revealed in this verse and other verses (Mt. 3:12; 18:8; 25:41,46; Mk. 3:29; 9:44; Heb. 6:2; Jude 7; Rev. 14:10-11; 20:10,15), this lake of fire will be a place of eternal judgment. There will be no second chance, not even in the world to come (Mt. 12:32).
