And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
Note 4 at Mk. 4:13: Jesus is saying that this parable of the sower is the key to understanding all His parables. The interpretation that Jesus gave of this parable provides a model for interpreting all His parables.
