Mark 7:13
Next Verse

Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Note 8 at Mk. 7:13: We can neutralize the positive power of God's Word toward us, and nothing will do that any quicker than elevating man's traditions above God's Word. God's Word is still true (Rom. 3:3-4) and will not return to Him void (Isa. 55:11), but it may produce the negative results of judgment instead of the positive results of salvation (Jn. 12:48). The Jews who came out of Egypt didn't receive the positive results of God's promised land because they didn't mix faith with the word they heard (Heb. 4:2).
