But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
Note 2 at Mk. 14:28: Jesus had prophesied His death and resurrection many times before (see note 1 at Mt. 16:21, p. 202). However, this very clear mention of His resurrection was only a few hours before His actual crucifixion, and should have been fresh enough in His disciples' minds to keep them from despairing at His death. Their hearts were still hardened (see note 3 at Mk. 8:17, p. 199; cp. with note 1 at Lk. 22:24, p. 425).
