And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest [it] in three days,
Note 7 at Mk. 15:29: This is a very specific fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy. In Psalm 22:7-8, David wrote, "All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him."
