Mark 16:14
Next Verse

Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

Note 1 at Mk. 16:14: Despite the numerous times that Jesus had prophesied His own death and resurrection (see note 1 at Mt. 16:21, p. 202) and three sets of eyewitnesses to His resurrection that very day (1st -- Mary Magdalene [Mk. 16:9- 11; Jn. 20:11-18]; 2nd -- other women [Mt. 28:9-10]; 3rd -- two disciples on the road to Emmaus [Mk. 16:12-13; Lk. 24:13- 35]), these disciples had refused to believe that Jesus had risen from the dead.
