Note 8 at Mk. 16:15: This command to go into all the world was a major shift in thinking for these Jews. Under the old covenant, God's dealings were mainly with the Jewish nation and there was no emphasis on the conversion of the Gentiles (Eph. 2:11-12). However, under the new covenant, salvation was provided for all men everywhere and therefore, it would be necessary to take this message into all the world.
