Previous Verse
Matthew 7:11
Next Verse

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Note 51 at Mt. 7:11: God is love (1 Jn. 4:8)! And His love for us is infinitely greater than any physical relationship we can compare Him with here on earth. We can apply this principle to any command or example we find in God's Word where His standards for relationship are revealed, and be assured that He will much more than meet those standards Himself (Examples: Mt. 7:9-11; Mt. 18:21-22; Eph. 5:22-23; 1 Tim. 5:8).
