Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched [it] forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

Note 3 at Mt. 12:13: Once again, Jesus told this man who was being healed to do something that required faith (see note 4 at Jn. 5:8, p. 97). This man knew from the conversation that Jesus intended to heal him and he eagerly complied. It was after he stretched forth his hand that it was healed.
