And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.
Note 3 at Mt. 14:8: This doesn't mean that she was instructed of Herodias before she danced to ask for John's head. Mark 6:24 shows that she asked instructions of her mother after Herod's oath. Matthew is simply saying that she received instructions from Herodias before she returned an answer to Herod.
