His lord answered and said unto him, [Thou] wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
Note 22 at Mt. 25:26: Anyone who believes that the Lord is too demanding and therefore chooses to do nothing about serving Him is like this slothful servant. Instead of that reasoning exempting him from accountability, it will actually increase his accountability. If he really believed that the Lord was so demanding, he should have been more diligent than anyone else about being faithful with the gifts God gave him.
