Matthew 26:69
Previous Verse
Matthew 26:69
Next Verse

Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.

Note 1 at Mt. 26:69: As had already been pointed out in note 1 at Matthew 26:33, page 428, the fact that all four of the gospel writers record Peter's denial of the Lord is significant. See notes about Peter's denial on pages 428- 429: Matthew 26:33   Mark 14:29   Luke 22:31

Note 2 at Mt. 26:69: This damsel was the one who tended the door that opened to the palace proper (Jn. 18:17), and she had seen Peter enter the palace with John for the trial of Jesus.
