Matthew 27:66
Next Verse

So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

Note 4 at Mt. 27:66: The Greek word translated "sealing" is "sphragizo" which means "to stamp with a signet or private mark for security or preservation; to seal up." A clay seal was applied to the stone in such a way that it could be easily detected if the stone was moved.
