Philippians 1:26
Previous Verse
Philippians 1:26
Next Verse

That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

Note 20 at Phil. 1:26: Paul knew that his return to Philippi would bring joy and rejoicing to the saints there. That's awesome! Paul didn't have some false humility that made him see himself as a "worm." He knew that he was nothing in himself, but he also knew who he was in the Lord and that God's power in him made him someone that these Philippians loved and longed to see again. Contrast note 9 at Ephesians 3:8, p. 1109 and note 2 at 2 Corinthians 12:11, p. 1043.
