For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.
Note 4 at Phil. 2:13: God is always leading our born-again spirit, under the influence of the Holy Spirit, in the direction of His will. That's what pleases Him. Yet, we have a say in what takes place in our lives. God puts it in but we have to work it out (see note 2 at v. 12).
