Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.

Note 6 at Phil. 2:23: Paul is speaking about his sentencing. He was in prison in Rome and awaiting the sentence handed down from Caesar. Before he sent Timothy back to Philippi, he wanted to know the verdict so Timothy could inform his friends at Philippi.
