For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

Note 3 at Ro 2:25: If Jews could keep the Law perfectly, then the Jewish covenant that was sealed with the sign of circumcision would give them an advantage over others. But that has never, and can never, happen. No one can keep the Law, and the Law was not given to provide a way to God (see note 2 at Mt 19:17). Therefore, because Jews have never kept the Law perfectly, they are the same as uncircumcised in the sight of God.
