Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

Note 4 at Rom. 2:26: Notice that Paul did not say that the uncircumcision kept the law. Instead he mentions them keeping the "righteousness" of the law (v. 26) and "fulfilling" the law (v. 27)-there is a difference. A person can fulfill the righteousness of the law through faith in Jesus, but no one, Jew or Gentile, can keep the law.
