Note 4 at Rom. 7:21: This law (force or influence-see note 5 at v. 23, below) was present, but Paul was not living under the dominance of it (Rom. 6:14). He clearly states in Romans 8:2 that the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus had made him free from the law of sin and death (see note 1 at v. 15, p. 789).
