For it is written, [As] I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Note 10 at Rom. 14:11: Paul is citing this Old Testament verse to show that each individual is accountable to God (v. 12). Therefore, we don't have to judge our brethren. God will do it.
