But if thy brother be grieved with [thy] meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

Note 13 at Rom. 14:15: This ties all of this teaching back in with Romans 13:8-10. Paul had summarized all our duty to mankind as loving our neighbor as ourself (see note 3 at Rom. 13:10, p. 835). If we ignore the influence our actions have on others, we are not walking in this law of love.
