Romans 15:3
Previous Verse
Romans 15:3
Next Verse

For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

Note 5 at Rom. 15:3: As always, Jesus is the supreme example of God's kind of love. Jesus submitted to things that He didn't have to as God. However, He became a man and submitted Himself lest He should offend people (Mt. 17:27). If Jesus did this for us, how can any of us justify not bearing the infirmities of our weak brother?
