Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.

Note 12 at Rom. 16:9: The name "Urbane" meant "polite." This is the only mention of Urbane in scripture. He had been a companion in work (see ref. g at this verse) with Paul.

Note 13 at Rom. 16:9: The name "Stachys" meant "an ear of grain." This is the only mention of Stachys in scripture.
