Romans 16:12
Previous Verse
Romans 16:12
Next Verse

Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.

Note 19 at Rom. 16:12: Tryphena (delicate, dainty) and Tryphosa (delicate) were women at Rome that Paul saluted and commended for their labor in the Lord.

Note 20 at Rom. 16:12: The name "Persis" meant "Persian." He was a Christian at Rome whom Paul greeted. Paul mentioned he laboured much in the Lord. This is the only mention of Persis in scripture.
