Testimony - 01/11/12 - Andrew Wommack Ministries

In March 2009, I was rushed to Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital for abdominal pain. After many tests in the ER, the doctors did emergency surgery and found that I had stage-three colon cancer. I was thirty-four years old at the time, enjoying life with my husband and three young boys. This was a huge bomb! The doctor recommended chemotherapy even though they removed the tumor (blockage) from the colon.

So, Mother’s Day weekend 2009, I started my first chemo treatments. There was a lot of fear and uncertainty. We knew God could heal and have been following your teaching, Andrew, since about 2000. So, we knew healing was for us! After three months of chemo, I had what felt like a large knot in my abdomen. I made the doctor aware of it, and she immediately sent me to get a scan. The scan showed my right ovary was enlarged, but they couldn’t tell if it was cancer or not. We found out that the cancer had spread to the right ovary. I had a complete hysterectomy. During recovery, one of the BIG things we had to face was “Do I go back and do more chemo? The doctors are going to want me to!” The pressure was on! My husband and I talked about it almost every day. It was such an emotional time. Here was this disease, threatening my life! I remember lying on the couch, thinking, I just don’t believe I am sick. It’s crazy! I have had two surgeries due to cancer. They can’t just keep cutting things out of me!

So, I told my husband I wasn’t doing more chemo. When it came time to go see the oncologist, we were going to go in and say thanks but no thanks. But before we could get that out, he told us that the chemo was not working, that it is a fast-growing cancer, and according to what he has seen from other colon cancer patients, it would spread and I would die within six months to a year! What? It was so surreal. They couldn’t be talking about me. I just stared at the wall, thinking, But, God, You are bigger!

In the fall of 2009, I went to Charlotte and had you pray for me! As you were praying, you said, “I don’t really get anything specific on this, but just to push against the devil as hard as he is pushing against you.” You continued with, “You are on the threshold, the frontlines of what God has in store for you.” We said amen and I went on my way!

To make this long story short, it will be two years in August since my last surgery. The doctors have continued to do scans on me every three months, and they can find NO SIGN OF ACTIVE DISEASE! I am healed! The Word has healed me! I feel great! Praise be to God! Thank you, Andrew, for praying with me! I am encouraged to now believe God for great things! Every day is a good day! Your ministry has been key to me receiving my healing. The word is getting out that God is a GOOD God! God bless and have a great day! I am!
