06/06/11  —  "I was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer…"

I have a wonderful husband of eleven years, and we have three great boys. In March of last year, I was awakened in the early morning with abdominal pain. My husband rushed me to the hospital where, after many hours of trying to figure out what was wrong with me, a doctor finally came in and said he needed to do a colonoscopy on me. That is all I remember. I was passing out, and when I woke up many hours later, I had had major surgery on my colon. To make a long story short, six weeks later, my husband and I were sitting in the surgeon’s office waiting for the results of the pathology report, and it was most definitely cancer. The doctor had removed the blockage from my colon along with twelve inches of my colon and also twenty-eight lymph nodes. Seventeen of the nodes were cancerous. I was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer. I was thirty-four at the time. We were just walking through life, and then this bomb just dropped on us!

I, of course, went to friends and pastors to pray, and our church was praying for us around the clock. I called AWM and asked for prayer. The doctor recommended chemotherapy, and we decided to go that route because we had peace, as far as we knew.

I underwent chemotherapy in May and stopped taking it in July of the same year. It was supposed to be a six-month regimen, but my right ovary started to grow. With many tests later and another surgery, I woke up from another surgery only to find out that the cancer had spread. I had a full hysterectomy. That was it! Enough was enough! The devil was not taking my life through cancer!

My husband and I went away for a weekend and just soaked up the Word of God. We listened to Hagin and you, Andrew. So, a lot of things happened, and we saw God’s hand on all of it! After getting hold of the Word and getting it into my heart, I can sit here now and tell you that there is no cancer inside my body. The doctors do CT scans of my intestines and GI tract, and they say I am clear and there is nothing there. My blood work has come back perfect every time! And I just praise God because He healed me!

The doctors said I had months to live, but I said no because God said I didn’t have to die! I could go on and on about this, there is so much to tell. But I just wanted to say this, Andrew and Jamie, keep preaching the Word—it is setting people free. I don’t know if I would be here today if it weren’t for the truths that you preach and teach about. It has been a matter of life and death for me. I am glad I found your ministry years ago and had the foundation to stand on when this storm hit! I am cancer free, and I intend to stay that way! Thanks and God bless.
