06/13/09 — "He was at seventy-seven pounds at thirteen years old…"
As a young boy in elementary school, my son Scott had asthma and sometimes headaches. When he began sixth grade, he started having migraines, sometimes four in a week. He was in so much pain and was missing so much school that the doctor ran a lot of tests. But he couldn’t really find a cause. We started taking Scott to our healing prayer services at, and after many months, the migraines stopped, praise God. But that’s when the stomach problems started.
We noticed that he was in a lot of pain after he ate, and we narrowed it down to wheat being the problem. So he was on a gluten-free diet, and that seemed to help. Upon scoping him, the doctor’s found Barrett’s Esophagus, which is unheard of in children. He put Scott on medication for that, and he got a new attack from the Enemy: his stomach shut down from Gastroparesis. Now, eating had become a problem again. He lost a lot of weight: he was at seventy-seven pounds at thirteen years old. A size ten in boys pants was big on him. He missed a lot of school.
Then a friend brought us the Healing Journey DVD. Our whole family watched it with Scott, and he said, “I believe I am healed—I feel different.” The next morning, we asked him about the medicines that he was on, and he said he didn’t need them and that he wanted to eat. He did. We waited and there was no pain, no nausea! When we saw his doctor, he was surprised to see how good Scott looked. When he asked what was different, we told him. He was a little upset for stopping the medications and said he highly doubted that the Barrett’s Esophagus was gone. Scott said he could scope him but said, “You won’t find anything.” Well, they couldn’t find it on the biopsy!
It’s now been nine months since his healing. He has gained eighteen pounds and grown three inches. It seems that every few months or so, he does get an attack from the Enemy. But God turns it around for good. We thank God every day for healing our son and for everyone at Andrew Wommack Ministries. You are making a difference in people’s lives.
