09/23/09  —  "After being homeless for nine months and moving once a week…"

I’m so grateful for this ministry. It has truly changed me and my husband’s life! After being homeless for nine months and moving once a week between different families’ living room floors with a one year old son and pregnant, I finally cried out to God and asked Him what I was missing. I knew He was a loving God, and I finally started doubting that this was His will for my life!

I have been a Christian all of my life, but was never taught the real truth. I was raised in the performance mentality way of relating to God and knew that wasn’t right. So I went to the opposite extreme, believing God controlled everything. Finally, I got to a place where I no longer believed that was right either. Then a woman came across my path who went to your Bible college. She told me to call your Helpline and order three free CDs about God’s kind of love. We NEEDED to take advantage of your free materials. THANK YOU! Within a month of listening to your teachings, we got into a homeless shelter, which is really an apartment. Our daughter was born three weeks after we moved in, and we are now waiting to move to a permanent apartment that is bigger, newer, and in the exact location we wanted to live in! GOD IS SO GOOD! We’ve made some pretty dumb choices, but we’re on our way out of this hole, and God used you to revolutionize our relationship with Him! We’re beginning to prosper. God bless you! I know He does!
