Building a Legacy

After more than five decades in ministry, I believe the best is yet to come. It’s crucial for me to ensure that the legacy we’ve built continues to thrive for generations to come.

As many of you know, back in 1994, God led me to start Charis Bible College—a decision that has borne tremendous fruit. With your partnership, we’ve graduated over 30,000 students from our Main Campus in Woodland Park and numerous Extension Schools worldwide. The flood of testimonies we receive —lives transformed, miracles witnessed, and healings experienced— are clear evidence of the life-changing power of God’s Word taught through Charis Bible College across the nations.

As we look forward, I am thankful to God for placing Mike and Carrie Pickett alongside me, as I believe they are divinely appointed to help lead our ministry forward to even greater victories when I pass the mantle to them.

A year ago, the Lord impressed upon my heart the urgency of establishing an independent network—a place where the Gospel can be shared freely, without compromise. Recent challenges with other networks attempting to sway my message have only reinforced the importance of this vision. In a culture increasingly hostile to biblical truth, we are reminded of 2 Timothy 4:3–4, where Paul warns of a time when people will turn away from sound doctrine. It’s clear that we must protect our right to proclaim the Gospel boldly and ensure that our children and their children will be exposed to the true Gospel for generations to come.

Today, I am very excited to introduce to you: The Gospel Truth Network (GTN).

The Gospel Truth Network

GTN is designed to be an independent live channel for the whole family, broadcast through dish and satellite, as well as our own internet-based video-on-demand platform, with the sole purpose of spreading the true Gospel—as far and deep as possible.

These past months have been filled with intense preparation for the September launch of GTN. The urgency in my heart stems from a strong conviction that God wants us to move swiftly and seize this opportunity without delay. I firmly believe that He has already provided everything we need to make GTN a reality.

When God first spoke to me about establishing this Network, He also revealed that I already had the team right here in my own home. I approached Elizabeth and Robert Muren, asking if they would step into leadership roles as visionaries for GTN. The entire executive team rejoiced when they enthusiastically accepted.

It’s truly remarkable to witness how God not only gives the vision but also provides for every aspect of its fulfillment. Over the past three months, we have experienced an outpouring of creativity, innovation, and productivity as I have never witnessed before. With the talents and dedication of the Murens and their teams, we’ve developed a diverse array of family-oriented programs rooted in the uncompromising Word of God.

A first glimpse

In this magazine, I want to give you, dear friend, a first glimpse into what GTN has in store. Consider the impact of just one TV show over the years: The Gospel Truth, a simple half-hour program where I teach the Word directly to the camera in my Texan accent. It’s been miraculous! Now, imagine what we can achieve together with round-the-clock original programming, tailored to diverse audiences and ages, all filled with the same life-transforming revelation from God’s Word. Our focus is on producing excellent, unique, and anointed content that will shine brightly as a beacon of truth in these difficult times.
