Walking in the Power of God
What would happen if you truly believed God wants the best for you—not someday in heaven, but right now? Too many believers settle for a life far below what God intended. We’ve been told miracles and healing are rare and that supernatural power is of the devil. But that’s a lie. God wants you well. God wants His power to flow through your life. And once you really understand this, it will change your life—your health, your joy, your relationships, your whole walk with God.
God’s Power Lives Inside You
Let me start with a truth that’s often overlooked. The Bible says plainly in Romans 8:9, “Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
This means once you are born again, you have the same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead living on the inside of you (Eph. 1:19–20). So, if that’s true, why aren’t we seeing more Christians walking in supernatural healing, freedom, and power? The answer is not that God is withholding—it’s that we have not fully stepped into what we’ve already been given.
I know this from experience. I’ve seen my son raised from the dead. I’ve seen Charis Bible College students in Uganda, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and elsewhere raise people from the dead. These things are proof that God’s power still works today and is available to every believer.
Healing Is God’s Will
Sad to say, Christians are often told that healing is not for everyone, or that it’s only a spiritual reward for some, or a gift from God we just have to hope for. That is simply not what the Bible says. Acts 10:38 tells us that Jesus “went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Jesus never turned anyone away. If He had the authority of God Himself and wanted people well, then that is exactly how God wants it today.
Yet many believers think healing is something “out there,” somewhere in the atmosphere, and that we have to somehow or another beg God to send it down. I used to believe that too. I remember a time when I thought there were demonic powers that had to be overcome just to get our prayers to God. But that is not the reality for a born-again believer. God lives inside you. You don’t need to pray for Him to come down—He’s already in your spirit. Hebrews 13:5 says He’ll never leave us nor forsake us. What a promise!
Eternal Life Begins Now
Many people think salvation is just about forgiveness and going to heaven. And yes, that is an awesome part of it—but it’s only one part. Eternal life is more than endless years in eternity; it’s knowing God intimately right now, today.
John 17:3 says, “This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” Eternal life is relationship. It’s intimacy. It’s walking with God, hearing Him, speaking with Him, seeing His power manifest through you.
If all you do is pray for forgiveness, then you’re missing the real purpose of salvation. God didn’t just want to remove a barrier of sin so we could avoid hell. He wanted a relationship with you. And part of that relationship is seeing His life flow through you in supernatural ways—healing, deliverance, restoration, miracles, and more.
The Authority You Already Have
Matthew 10:1 says that Jesus “gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” Then He told them in verse 8, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”
Healing isn’t up to God alone—you already carry His power. I think most Christians aren’t seeing miracles today because they either don’t believe or don’t understand what’s already been provided in Christ.
Stop Settling for a Substandard Life
The New Testament church saw miracles daily. People would break through roofs to get someone to Jesus because His power was evident. Today, we have padded pews, air conditioning, and all sorts of comforts—but people aren’t coming because there is no manifestation of God’s power.
Jesus said in John 14:12, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” The works of Jesus are meant to be done by us today—not just in heaven, not just in some idealized version of the church, but here on earth.
But I’d estimate that the majority of Christians don’t even believe in the miraculous today—simply because it’s convenient not to. They don’t have to pray, they don’t have to study the Word, and they can live just as carnally as someone who doesn’t know the Lord. If they say God doesn’t do miracles, then when someone gets sick or struggles, they can just let it happen—because their doctrine says that it’s God’s will. That’s a cop-out. It’s a chicken way to live.
You might think I’m weird, but I think you’re weird if you aren’t living like the Spirit of God is alive within you. You’ve been given everything—healing, provision, victory over sin, peace that passes understanding. To act like it’s not real, or to live as if it’s not available, is to deny the very power of God. He didn’t save you to scrape by—He saved you to walk in resurrection life every single day.
These are foundational truths that I can’t fully cover here, but I go into much more detail in my teaching The Faith Collective, available on CD, DVD, USB, and as a booklet. I encourage you to take advantage of the materials we’ve made available to you. If you want to walk fully in what God has placed inside you, this is a resource you can’t afford to miss.
