AWM Leadership Participates in the American Reads the Bible

Recently, Andrew Wommack, Mike and Carrie Pickett, Richard Harris, and David Metcalfe participated in the historic event, “America Reads the Bible,” held in Washington, D.C., from April 19-25. This event, held onsite at the Museum of the Bible, celebrated our nation’s 250 anniversary as a county. Christian leaders from across the country gathered for this once-in-a-lifetime, seven-day public reading of the Bible.

On day seven of this amazing event, Andrew along with part of his leadership team read and then signed beside the Bible verses they had read.  We have provided both pictures and a video link so that you, our partners, can enjoy their participation in this national event. Here’s the line up from our team: Andrew read first, then Richard, Carrie, Mike, and David.

During their visit to the Museum of the Bible, they also had the extraordinary opportunity to view some of the Dead Sea Scrolls. These remarkable scrolls are among the oldest surviving biblical texts. They were discovered in the 1940s near the shores of the Dead Sea. Mike shared that the pictures that were taken cannot do justice to the experience of seeing these documents in person.
