09/24/08  —  “I used to believe that nothing could happen to me without God's approval first…”

Thank you so much, first of all, for what you are teaching! Second, thank you for making the teachings available to download in MP3—for free! My relationship with the Lord is being changed forever as a result.

After hearing about you, I went online to listen to a couple of your archived broadcasts. Wow! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The love of God was being taught in a way I had never heard before. My perspective of God is altered forever. Thank you!

I used to believe that nothing could happen to me without God's approval first. After a long season of hardships, I was completely worn out and bitter at God. I couldn't understand how a loving God could just allow what was going on in my life. I tried blaming myself, thinking there must be something terribly wrong with me, or that my sin was just too great. But in my heart, I thought, How could a loving Father not protect His children?

Through your teachings, I now understand that it wasn't God allowing or doing these things to me! Below is a brief testimony of how my thoughts are changing.

My son's bicycle was stolen right in front of our house. Instead of being angry with God, I was able to see that if my heart was moved toward my son to get his bike back, how much more was God's heart moved? I prayed and asked God to bring back the bike.

God just totally blew me away with His answer! We had filed a police report, and about forty-eight hours later, I got a call from the police saying they found the bike! They were actually on the lookout for it and caught a kid riding it! Praise God! If He is concerned about us in such a little issue, how much more is He concerned in the bigger issues of life?
