Reaching out from: Dallas
Hi, my name is Stanley, and I have struggled with major depression for many years. There was a point when I felt like I was ready to throw in the towel and give up. I cried out to God and asked Him if I could just come home.
I felt like Elijah when he became so discouraged that he asked God to take his life. I was overwhelmed by the heaviness of my thoughts and emotions and felt like I couldn’t go on.
That’s when I called the Andrew Wommack Ministries prayer line and prayed with someone. During that prayer, something changed. I can’t fully explain what happened, but I felt as though something had broken, and the overwhelming heaviness I had been carrying began to lift. I experienced a sense of release from the darkness and weight of those depressive thoughts and emotions.
I don’t have all the words to explain it, but I truly believe God touched me and performed a miracle in that moment. He met me right where I was when I felt like I had nothing left.

Dear Andrew, I am so enjoying the David teaching that you are currently broadcasting. It is really ministering to me. The detail you speak about is amazing. For example, I never noticed that all of David’s brothers had to STAND and WAIT for him to be brought in from the fields! I grew up the youngest (as you did) and can identify with David in several ways. I find it quite interesting that God so often chose the youngest of siblings to do His Work….often to the chagrin of the older siblings. God truly does look at the heart. Amen.

The Truth About Introverts: introverts are not necessarily shy. They simply do better is the background. Be who you are.

I have been reading the study guide “Don’t Limit God ” given to me by one of the Charis Bible College alumni. Wish I could put into words how much I love this study. I am grateful for the opportunity to send this and may God continue to do the work that limitations may seem to have hindered.

As a 3rd year Walsall student and in Nairobi last week to monitor our project in the slums, I took some of our workers to your seminar. They were greatly blessed including healing, and now look forward to possibilities of Bible College there! Am thrilled to be a part of what our God is doing through AWM. THANK YOU!

Wow, can’t believe your comments about introverts and shy people being self-centered, selfish people. Really condemning and judging of a whole God-given personality trait. What a misunderstanding. From Susan Cain, author of Quiet: The Power of Introverts: “Introverts prefer quiet, minimally stimulating environments, while extroverts need higher levels of stimulation to feel their best. Stimulation comes in all forms – social stimulation, but also lights, noise, and so on. It’s also important to understand that introversion is different from shyness. Shyness is the fear of negative judgment, while introversion is simply the preference for less stimulation. Shyness is inherently uncomfortable; introversion is not… Introverts are comfortable spending time alone, and solitude is a crucial (and underrated) ingredient for creativity.” Shyness and introversion are not the same thing.
